SandehCheck ("we", "our", "the bot") is a free fraud-detection assistant available on Telegram and WhatsApp. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
When you send a message, link, screenshot, UPI ID, or phone number to SandehCheck, we process and store:
• The content of your message (text, OCR-extracted text from images, or submitted entities such as UPI IDs, phone numbers, and URLs)
• The risk assessment generated by our system
• A timestamp of the interaction
• Your messaging platform user ID (Telegram or WhatsApp), used only to apply rate limits and prevent abuse
We do not collect your name, location, contacts, or any data beyond what you directly send us for analysis. We do not access your device, photos, or messages outside of what you explicitly forward to the bot.
Message content and extracted entities (UPI IDs, phone numbers, URLs) are stored anonymously to build a shared fraud intelligence database. This allows SandehCheck to recognise patterns — for example, if the same UPI ID or UTR number is reported as suspicious by multiple users, we can warn future users faster. Your platform user ID is never linked to this shared database and is used solely for rate-limiting.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Anonymised, aggregated fraud pattern data may be shared with financial institutions, payment platforms, or researchers solely for fraud-prevention purposes — never in a form that identifies you.
You can stop using SandehCheck at any time by simply not messaging the bot. To request deletion of your interaction history, email us at contact@sandehcheck.com.
SandehCheck is an automated tool and not a substitute for professional legal, financial, or law enforcement advice. It does not guarantee detection of all fraud. Always verify independently through your bank before making financial decisions.
